Bridge Specifications

Our bridges come in five different lengths. 4ft, 6ft, 8ft, 10ft, and 12ft. and 5 different widths. 2ft, 2 1/2ft, 3ft, 4ft, 5ft.

All bridge understructure is made from 2x8, 2x12 or glue-lam treated fir. Cedar is used in decking, post and rails. Our bridges are finished with Jasco termin-8 and superdeck cedar stain and preservative which are environmentally friendly. For extra protection we apply asphalt roofing shingles to the foot of our bridges.

Understructure

We build our bridges strong as the picture to the right shows: 1,020 lbs of bagged concrete, 555 lbs of people, means this bridge is holding 1,575 lbs.

Wider and longer bridges are built with 3 x 9 in. glue-lam fir supports plus 2 x 12 in. internal supports in anticipation of a longer span and additional weight.

All measurements are approximate due to use of natural materials.
